Certified Groomer (C.G.) and Certified Feline Master Groomer (C.F.M.G)
At an early age, Stephen knew he was destined to work in the pet industry. At the age of 12, Stephen was given the opportunity to volunteer at a local pet store which also had a small grooming shop. With his deep love of animals, Stephen was often asked to help the groomers with the dogs that would come in to be groomed. In 2003, Stephen decided to follow his heart and passion for animals and became a graduate of Pets Beautiful Canine School Of Grooming. Here he studied the art of dog grooming under Certified Master Groomers and completed the course with honours. He also holds the title of “Certified Groomer” through International Professional Groomers (I.P.G). as well as the title “Certified Feline Master Groomer” through the National Cat Groomers Institute of America (N.C.G.I.A.). In 2011 he won first place in the Canada Grooms grooming competition under renowned judges Christina Pawloski and Kendra Otto. In 2012, Stephen competed in the prestigious “Groom Expo” grooming competition in Hershey Pennsylvania where he competed against groomers from all over the world and won Second Place.
Stephen established Bark Avenue Professional Pet Grooming in 2003. Since opening, the salon has achieved great success and acclaim being voted “Favorite Pet Groomer” for 5 consecutive years.
Roslyn (Ros) joined Bark Avenue in December 2007 as a Bather and Assistant Groomer and in April 2009 started her own business inside Bark Avenue accepting her own grooming clients. Her love of dogs is evident as she is an active dog trainer, and has earned over 80 titles on her miniature poodles in obedience, rally, retrieving, herding, agility and flyball. Roslyn is also an approved CKC Rally-Obedience judge and has worked as an assistant trainer at Who’s Walking Who Dog Training Centre in Toronto.
Roslyn’s vast knowledge of training and work with dogs has been invaluable in her grooming. Her understanding of dogs and their behaviors helps guide her in working with each dog left to her care.
